Springboard Biodiesel has donated a BioPro 380 processing unit to the Center for Sustainable Energy Farming, a Torrance, Calif.-based nonprofit research organization. The BioPro 380 can make 100 gallons of biodiesel in 48 hours from a variety of FOG.

The IRFA commended the Iowa Senate for voting unanimously (48-0) to pass Senate File 2344, showing tremendous, bipartisan support for renewable fuels. The bill would extend the state's biodiesel production tax credit set to expire by end of year.

Earlier this month, U.S. EPA announced it was asking RFS fuel pathway petitioners to wait six months before submitting their requests so the agency can improve the petition process. BIO's Brent Erickson said six months is too long of a wait.
